I have a job

Today I was offered the job of Guest Relations Host at Whistler Blackcomb.  Now I am going to go clothes shopping to celebrate being the only breadwinner!!

good afternoon to all you merry monkeys out in internet land.

well johns sorted me with an account on this thing now so i guss id best use it otherwise i might get more sarcastic comments from jenn (screw you!).

weve done quite a bit in the week weve been here. me and john went drinking with a scottish guy called richie and drank far far too many pitchers of beaver beer, the next day john had horribly bad food poisoning and we had to book into a hotel so he could recover. we’ve walked around vancouver a lot and got a good feel for the place. went to stanley park the other day and went to the aquarium which was pretty cool. saw quite a few black squirrels in stanley park.

we took a greyhound coach up into the mountains and went to whistler to look for work. beautiful place. im sure it’ll look absolutely amazing when it starts snowing. jenn has had her interviews and is waiting to see if she gets the job, i had one interview and will be contacted soon to see if i get a second interview which will mean going up into the mountains again. johns having to wait until the job fair for his interview

we found the whistler skate park and it looks amazing and huge. also found out theres a great big skate plaza in vancouver under a bridge. why oh why didnt i bring my board! me and john have been looking around skateshops to see if we can get a couple of cheap boards together.

were probably going to look into getting cheap discount snowboards and other gubbins today so well see how that goes (in whistler the boards were between $500 and $1200 and jackets were around $400).

anyways take it easy guys and ill post something else when something happens!

Back from Whistler and we saw a bear!!

We went to Whistler yesterday so I could have my job interview and Ian ended up having one too.  I have a great photo of Ian in John’s old school trousers and a too big shirt.  While we were waiting we saw a bear wandering around but someones dog chased it away before I could get a photo!

hey peeps!! im not sick today! whooooooooooooooooooooooooo. still no job yet but hey! suns out. aquarium later me thinks. fish are good, Theraputic too.  Just booked a b&b for whistler on monday night! will get to see the mystical mountains. at the mo job options seem to be snow shoveling or board fixing! ah welly all the best to yous.

Todays exciting news is John has got food poisoning!!  We are staying in a hotel tonight so he can get better.

In Vancouver and have a headache!  Some things never change!  Lots to do today so batter get a move on!

the morning!!

i was going to try avoiding using exclamation marks on every post but today is an exception. off to the airport in 5mins, then time to fly out to canada. i know im going to miss everyone, especialy family and marks. But i do take comfort in the fact someone will be drinking the sainsburys margarittas.

So well yeah! JIJ is a silly name we made up for Jenn, Ian John or if you ask me John ian Jenn, but anyways here is. the place where we shall be keeping you updated with our highs and lows. Thoughts and reflections and well lets be honest nonsense!
